GraphQL Schema to JSON Schema Converter

Convert GraphQL SDL types, inputs, enums, and unions into standardized JSON Schema specifications in your browser.

At a glance

GraphQL Schema to JSON Schema Converter transforms GraphQL SDL types, inputs, enums, and unions into valid JSON Schema (Draft-07 and 2020-12) specifications. It maps scalar types, lists, non-null assertions to required arrays, and extracts sub-types into compliant $defs schemas in browser memory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my GraphQL schemas transmitted to any remote servers?
No. All SDL lexing, AST parsing, and JSON Schema generation execute 100% locally in your browser. Your API structures and entity designs remain strictly private.
How does it handle non-null exclamation marks (!)?
Fields with a non-null modifier (such as id: ID!) are automatically mapped to the JSON Schema object's required array. Optional fields without ! are omitted from required.
Where are secondary types and enums stored in the schema?
When using Draft 2020-12, secondary types, inputs, and enums are registered in the $defs dictionary. When using Draft-07, they are registered under definitions.
How are GraphQL unions converted?
GraphQL unions (e.g. union SearchResult = User | Post) are converted into anyOf arrays referencing each member definition in $defs or definitions.
